Who we are
This website is operated by Vetting Chronicles LLC DBA Chronicles Consulting, based in Los Angeles, California ("Chronicles", "we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect through chroniclesconsulting.org, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have. It is written to meet the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA).
Information we collect
When you use the contact form we collect your name, company, email address and the message you write. When you book a call, Calendly collects the details you enter there under its own privacy policy. Our web host records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time). We do not sell personal information and we do not run advertising trackers.
How we use it
We use your information to reply to your enquiry, schedule and hold the discovery call, prepare a proposal if you ask for one and keep a record of our correspondence. We do not send marketing email unless you have separately agreed to receive it, and every such email includes a working unsubscribe link and our postal address.
Third parties
Your information may be processed by the services we use to run the site and the business: Calendly (scheduling); Google Cloud, which runs the function that receives contact-form submissions; Resend, which delivers the name, email and message you submit to our inbox and processes them in transit; our email provider (correspondence); and Firebase Hosting by Google, our web host, which records standard server logs. Fonts are served from our own site, so no font provider receives your data. Each acts under its own privacy policy and processes information only to provide its service to us. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else except to comply with the law, enforce our terms or protect the rights and safety of Chronicles or others, or as part of a merger or sale of the business.
Cookies and Do Not Track
This site does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Third-party services linked from this site (such as Calendly) may set their own cookies on their pages. We do not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals because we do not track visitors across sites.
Your choices and access
You may ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing consulting@vettingchronicles.com. We answer within ten business days. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA; Chronicles is currently below the thresholds at which that law applies, and we will update this policy if that changes.
Retention and security
Enquiry emails are kept for as long as we may reasonably need them to respond and, for clients, for the duration of the engagement plus the period required for tax and legal records. We use reputable providers with encryption in transit and access controls, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
Children
This site is intended for business audiences and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and we will delete any such information on request.
Legal basis and international visitors
We process your information because you asked us to respond to an enquiry or schedule a call, and because we have a legitimate business interest in running and securing this site. The site is operated from the United States; if you visit from outside the U.S., your information is transferred to and processed here.
Client data during engagements
Business data we access while delivering consulting services is governed by the written agreement for that engagement, not by this policy. In brief: it stays in your own accounts, we access it with least-privilege credentials, we do not use it to train AI models, and our access ends at hand-off.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. Questions go to consulting@vettingchronicles.com. We will confirm receipt and respond within ten business days.
